HYDERABAD, Dec 17: The PML candidate for PS-47, Qasimabad Taluka, Jam Khan Shoro and former Sindh PPP-SB President Maula Bux Mashori joined the PPP in the presence of party’s Chairperson Benazir Bhutto at Isra University Ground where she addressed a public meeting on Monday.

Jam Khan Shoro, who earlier boosted of defeating the PPP candidate in PS-47 attended its public meeting and announced of joining PPP without any conditions. PPP Hyderabad District President Zahid Ali Bhurgari is contesting on PS-47. He was elected from the same seat in 2002 general elections.

Jam Khan Shoro is the younger brother of Taluka Nazim Noor Mohammad Shoro who joined PML in local bodies’ elections of 2005 and organised a meeting of former Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim. His father Deedar Shoro, Nazim from UC-4, Qasimabad is also reported to have announced joining the PPP.

“Jam Khan Shoro was being forced to withdraw in favour of PS-47 in lieu of support of the MQM for PML’s nominee on NA-221, his family refused but then decided to join the PPP”, said the PML source.

The sitting UC-2 Nazim Qasimabad Mehboob Abro also announced of joining PPP while former Sindh PPP-SB Maula Bux Mashori also joined PPP and urged Mashori community to vote for PPP’s candidates.
