Saleh called up for NZ tour

DHAKA, Dec 19: Bangladesh have called up batsman Rajin Saleh to join the injury-hit national squad in New Zealand, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said on Wednesday.

Saleh was named as a back-up for injured middle-order batsman Tushar Imran, who will face a final fitness test on Dec 28 after he sat out a warm-up match in Hamilton on Tuesday with a sore left shoulder.

Pace bowler Syed Rasel was ruled out of the tour on Monday, a day after he injured his collar bone while fielding in the one-day match. He has been replaced by uncapped left-arm paceman Sajidul Islam.—Reuters
