GHALANAI, Jan 7: Four paramilitary soldiers were wounded in clashes between security forces and militants in the Ghazi Baig area of the Mohmand tribal region on Monday morning, sources said.

An official said that militants attacked a checkpost of a paramilitary outfit, the Mohmand Rifles, in the Ghazi Baig area, some 20km northwest of Ghalanai, the administrative headquarters. Four soldiers, including a subaidar, were wounded in the exchange of fire between paramilitary forces and militants. Security forces also opened fire from their base.
