DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 12: A sabotage attempt was foiled near here on Saturday when police disarmed three rocket launchers found under a bridge over river Indus.

A police official alerted the bomb disposal squad after the launchers were spotted near the seventh pillar of the bridge.

The police have been put on high alert to maintain the law and order situation in the district during Muharram. Police later impounded the arms and security was further beefed up.
