Shujaat leaves for London

LAHORE, Jan 29: PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Husain left for London on Tuesday to examine the possibility of initiating legal proceedings against people responsible for detaining his son and other relatives at the Gatwick airport a few days ago.

Party’s Secretary-General Mushahid Husain Sayed is accompanying him.

Family sources say that the PML-Q chief will be returning to Pakistan on Thursday.

It is said that Chaudhry Shujaat is not satisfied with the ‘regrets’ expressed by the British High Commission in Pakistan. He feels that since his relatives were humiliated, he had the right to take legal action against those who ordered it. It may be pointed out that the acting British high commissioner was also summoned to the Foreign Office and handed a protest.
