KARACHI, Jan 30: Seven ships carrying palm, DAP fertiliser and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, APL Sokhna, to unload and load containers, Bulk Arrow, to load cement, Emerald Coral to unload and load general cargo, Johar to offload crude oil and Seychelles Progress to offload jet oil were berthed after the departure of as many.

The departing ships were led by Ploutos, Conti Harmony, Sealo-1, Wan Hai-311, and Mol Admiration, while Tenth Ocean, Seyhelles Progress, APL Sokhna, Paris Texas, Hyun Jin, Johar, Gold Star, Wales-2 and Emerald Coral are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total volume of 0.143m tons comprising 44,615 tons of exports, notably cement and clinkers and 98,317 tons of import cargo was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Al Asr, with base oil, Oal Galaxy, with 8,000 tons of palm oil, Y.M.Star, Orient Stride, and Eric G. Gibson, with containers, and Don France Bulic, with 32,706 tons of DAP fertiliser.
