PAF truck damaged in blast

NOWSHERA, Jan 31: A truck of the Pakistan Air Force was partially damaged when some militants detonated a remote-controlled bomb on the G.T. Road near Akora Khattak on Thursday.

The truck was going from the Chaklala Airbase in Rawalpindi to the Badhber Airbase, about seven kilometres off Peshawar.

The roadside bomb went off at 9am when the truck was passing through Azam Garh area.

The vehicle’s bumper, front lights and windscreen were damaged.

Driver Sanah Uddin, gunman Mohammad Habib and Shafqat escaped unhurt.

Police cordoned off the area and collected shrapnel and other related material for evidence.
