KARACHI, Feb 4: A wheat ship was berthed at multipurpose terminal on Sunday. Three vessels sailed out during the last 24 hours. One more ship carrying containers also arrived at outer anchorage of the port during the same period.

Fifty per cent berth occupancy was observed as six ships M V Aegean, Capt Hares, Oak Galaxy, Yick Shun, Theodosia, and Y M Cultivation were occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, edible oil, wheat, and coal, respectively, during the last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 41,293 tons comprising 30,921 tons import cargo and 10,372 tons export cargo, inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 616 containers (TEUs) was handled during the same period.
