‘PML-Q behind May 12, Oct 18 killings’

By M.B. Kalhoro

LARKANA, Feb 16: Former leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Saturday accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid of being involved in the May 12 killings and Oct 18 blasts in Benazir Bhutto’s homecoming rally in Karachi.

Addressing a corner meeting in the Sindh Assembly constituency PS-36 (Larkana city), Mr Khuhro said that despite being aware of the fact that election would never be fair Ms Bhutto had decided to return in the larger interest of the country.

He said that ‘dictators’ would face crushing defeat at the hands of the Pakistan People’s Party on Feb 18 if election was not rigged.

He criticised the government for failing to arrest the killers of Munawar Suhrwardi and Abdullah Murad and claimed that Ms Bhutto was ready to lodge an FIR of the Oct 18 blasts but rulers turned down her request.
