MNA-elect, 17 others booked

THATTA, Feb 25: Sujawal police on Sunday night booked MNA- elect of PML-Q and 17 others for attacking the house of a PPP leader and kidnapping him.

Police registered cases against MNA- elect of PML-Q, Syed Ayaz Shah Shirazi, his relative Asad Shah besides Razzaq Gujjar, Mahi Aamro, Razzaq Aamro, Hussain Garmani, Hakim Aamro and eleven others under section 337, 324, 109, 147, 148 and 149 PPC.

Police lodged two separate cases on the complaint of president of PPP city Sujawal, Ahmed Gabol, in which he had alleged that a few days ago, the accused persons opened fire at his house and tried to kidnap him. Police had refused to register the case.

The victim Ahmed Gabol along with his family members observed a hunger strike in Sujawal. Later, on the directives of DPO Dr Najaf Mirza, two cases were registered against the accused. However, no arrests were made till the filing of this report.

SHEEDIS: Demanding release of their community members, arrested by Gharo police, dozens of people of Sheedi community of Ghulamullah and Ghorabari staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Monday.

The protesters included women and children who were led by Moosa Sheedi, Rahim Bux and Akram Sheedi.

Later at a press conference, the elders of the community Moosa Sheedi and others alleged that police, at the behest of some influential men, were trying to destroy evidence of the murder case of a notable of their community. They further said that instead of arresting the accused, police have arrested two innocent people of Sheedi community and were falsely implicating them in the murder case.
