ISLAMABAD, March 6: President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan met Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday evening and discussed the judicial crisis with him.

A source in the party told Dawn that Mr Ahsan called on Mr Zardari after the latter’s return from a hotel where he had hosted a dinner for ambassadors of Muslim countries.

Earlier, Mr Ahsan had addressed a function of the High Court Bar Association and visited the Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi where former prime minister Benazir Bhutto had been assassinated.

This is the first time Mr Ahsan has met with Mr Zardari since his release from four months of detention.
