Lawyers’ hunger strike continues

CHAKWAL, March 12: Deposed chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and other judges will be back in a few days, said MNA- elect Ayaz Amir.

Addressing a rally held in connection with the ‘black flag week’ here on Wednesday, he said, “the struggle and sacrifices of lawyers and civil society would soon yield fruit and Iftikhar Chaudhry will enter the Supreme Court.”

The lawyers’ hunger strike in connection with the ongoing ‘black flag week’ entered third day. Two lawyers on Wednesday sat for an hour on the hunger strike camp. Several members of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s youth wing also set up a hunger strike camp outside the district courts to strengthen the cause of Lawyers.— Correspondent
