KARACHI, March 13: Berthing was slow as only one container vessel was berthed during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.
Meanwhile, two more ships carrying containers and wheat also arrived at the outer anchorage.Seven ships, Nedlloyd America, ACX Marguerite, Leopard B, Al-Aqeela, Yasa Pembe, Liquid Success and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, sulphur, canola seeds, chemicals and iron ore.
A cargo volume of 46,336 tons comprising 32,436 tons of import and 13,900 tons of export tonnage was handled.
Sailings were active as Liquid Success, Nedlloyed America and ACX Marguerite left the port while Al-Aqeela was due to depart.
