KABUL, March 13: A suicide car bomber killed six Afghans and wounded 37 others, among them four American soldiers, in an attack on a US-led military convoy near Kabul airport on Thursday.

Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast. “There were four coalition soldiers that were part of this convoy and none of them was seriously injured,” coalition spokesman Lt-Col David Johnson said.

Two armoured vehicles were damaged. The blast damaged about 10 cars, said Gen Ali Shah Paktiawal, head of the police crime investigation branch.
