KARACHI, March 15: Nine ships carrying wheat, trucks and to load naphtha are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Aurora Sapphire to unload coal, Eric G. Gibson, Kota Puri, Y.M. Improvement to unload and load containers, Al-Fultiq-7, Asean Sea-01 to unload and load general cargo and Swat to offload crude oil were berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was modest as four ships, Hyundai Future, Emirate Wasi and Don Franc Bulie and Zhen Hua-5 left the port, while Eric G. Gibson, Happy Venture, Kota Puri, Asean Sea-01, Bunga Terasek, Creek, Swat and Aurora Sapphire are due to sail out on Sunday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.101m tons comprising 21,174 tons of export cargo and 80,008 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Sea Master with 22,500 tons of wheat, Atyaab with 50 trucks, Pacific Tourmaline to load 18,000 tons of naphtha, Jawahar Lal Nehru with crude oil, Liquid Success, with chemicals, Conti Germany, Cosco Lian Yun Gang amd Kapitan Byankin with containers and Pilion with coal.
