Over 40 booked for cutting trees

NAWABSHAH, March 15: Nawabshah police booked more than 40 persons for illegally cutting forest trees, here on Saturday.

RFO Imdad Ali Shah lodge an FIR with Kishorepur police station stating that he found people illegally chopping trees in compartment numbers 1,2,3 and 4 during patrol in Thatta Jagir. He said they threatened of dire consequences and escaped when he tried to stop them.

Police booked more than 40 people, including Pathan Mahar, Gulab Khaskheli, Tayyab Khaskheli, Mashooq Shah, Nizamuddin, Ali Nawaz and others.

No arrest was made till the filing of the report.
