KARACHI, March 19: Three ships to load and offload containers, tallow oil and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, four more ships carrying containers and coal also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Eight ships, Nedlloyed Africa, Maersk Ohio, Leopard-B, Varden, Atlantic, Yasa Pembe, Vemo Ocean and Tirumalai, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, canola seeds, furnace oil and chemicals.

A cargo volume of 75,320 tons comprising 59,597 tons of import and 15,723 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Vema Ocean, Atlantic and Yasa Pembe sailed out while Nedlloyed Africa and Maersk Ohio were due to leave the port.
