HYDERABAD, March 19: Activists of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz staged a demonstration outside the press club on Wednesday in protest against the murder of party leader Dilbar Mirani in Karachi.

The JSQM Vice-Chairman Akash Mallah who led the protest said that Dilbar Mirani was eliminated because he had been organising protests against the demolition of villages.

He demanded immediate arrest of the murderers and warned that if the authorities failed to arrest Mirani’s killers, the party would stage demonstrations throughout the province.

His party had already announced three days of mourning for the departed soul, he said.

LUMHS SENATE: Four teachers of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) were elected unopposed to the university’s senate on Tuesday.

MUET: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) announced on Wednesday that supplementary and special supplementary examinations earlier scheduled for March 20 and 21 would now be held on April 17, 19, 30 and May 3.

The university advised the students concerned to contact the controller of examination for further information.
