Revenue courts remain locked

By Our Correspondent

SIALKOT, March 19: The revenue staff kept the courts and offices locked for the third consecutive day on Wednesday in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur as a protest against the lawyers’ storming their courts.

The general public suffered ordeal as the revenue department officials stayed away from work. The pen-down strike of the patwaris entered into the third day as they demonstrated at the Anjuman-i-Patwarian Daska offices.

Meanwhile, the lawyers, while reacting to registration of a case against 48 of them, submitted an application with the Daska city police station for a case against DDO (Revenue) Syed Naveed Hyder Sherazi who, they said, was responsible for the clash.
