Navy official gets CISM post

ISLAMABAD, March 25: The International Military Sports Council (CISM) has selected Commodore Zafar Mahmood of the Pakistan Navy as President of the CISM Golf Committee.

This is the first time that this honour has come to an Asian country in more than 50 years, said a Pakistan Navy statement.

Commodore Zafar’s association with the CISM started in 1991 after which he has contributed richly towards furthering the causes and ideas of World Military Sports.—Sports Reporter
