Families seek recovery of missing men

By Our Correspondent

HYDERABAD, March 29: The mothers and family members of two missing men appealed to the authorities to ensure their safe recovery here on Saturday.

They said the men arrested by an investigation officer in November last year they were never produced in court.

Ms Darya Khatoon, Ms Sharifan and other family members said at a press conference that investigation officer Paryal Solangi who was posted at Hatri police station had colluded with some people of the Hindu community of Citizen Colony to dispossess them of their agricultural land and four false cases were lodged against them last year.

They said the investigation officer had raided their homes to pressurise them to leave their land.

On Nov 22, Solangi picked up 11 people from the court premises and took them to Hatri police station, they claimed.

Later, some of them were released and some were challaned, but Raza Mohammad and Roshan were neither challaned nor released, they said.

They said they filed an application before the DPO and also moved a session judge, who had ordered registration of an FIR.
