Walkovers help Taj Academy, CAS earn points in Youth soccer

KARACHI, March 29: Real Soccer Academy thrashed Karachi All Stars Football Club 6-0 and City Gulshan recorded a 4-1 win against City PAF on Saturday in the 1st Under-15 Youth football championship underway at a local stadium here.

Ali Butt was the star of the day, scoring three goals for Real Soccer Academy which came in the third, 11th and 35th minutes of the match with Safiullah, Hussain Ali and Murtaza contributing one each in the 16th, 30th and 38th minutes, respectively.

Meanwhile in the other three club matches, Sindhi Muslim FC beat Titans 4-0 and Karachi United Football Club beat Karachi City Football Academy 2-1.

But the highlight of the day was the walkover awarded to Taj Academy when their rival team the Pak Jauhar Football Club couldn’t show up at the ground at the designated time as a result of which Taj Academy was also awarded two goals.

In the school clashes, two goals by Saleem Shahid (3rd and 10th minutes) and another two by Babar Chugtai (1st and 39th minutes) enabled City Gulshan to beat City PAF 4-1. The lone goal for City PAF was scored by Saad Ilyas in the 38th minute.

Meanwhile, DA Public School beat Foundation Public School

3-0 and Beaconhouse Jubilee beat Beaconhouse Defence 1-0. The lone goal for Beacon Jubilee was scored by Mizyal Wahid in the fist minute of the match.

The day witnessed its second walkover when Centre for Advanced Studies team was stood up by Paragon Public School.
