KARACHI, April 1: Five ships carrying imported wheat, palm oil and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Ltmari, Mol Admiration, Kapitan Byankin, and Helene Rickmers with containers, Paula with general cargo and Vema Cape and Addarraq, oil tankers, were accommodated berths.
Seven ships, Cosco Karachi, Itha Bhum, Kapitan Byankin, Itha Bhum, Champion Pleasure, Grabd Sapphire, Bunga Melati-4 and Paula sailed out on Tuesday, while Lalazar, Thia Matina, Hyun Jin-Ks-3,Bogasari Lima, Abu Al-Fadel, Mil Admiration, Ninth Ocean, St Moon Helene Rickmers, Libra and Global Prosperity are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.141m tons comprising 31,589 tons of export cargo and 0.110m tons of imported cargo was handled on Tuesday.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Torm Anholt with 52,500 tons of imported wheat, Chemstar King with 8,000 tons of palm oil, Oel Trust, Harmony with containers and An Shun Jiang with general cargo.
