KARACHI, April 2: Two container ships arrived at the outer anchorage and one vessel carrying palm oil was allotted berth during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Seven ships, Maersk Asia, Tiran Island, Pontonikis, Ocean Morning, Bunga Melati-IV, Jawaharlal Nehru and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, crude oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 68,561 tons comprising 46,059 tons of import and 22,502 tons of export tonnage was handled. Maersk Iowa and Maersk Asia sailed out, while Jawaharlal Nehru was expected to leave the port.
