LONDON, April 2: The euro gave up some early gains made after European Central Bank governor Axel Weber warned of continued financial market turmoil and inflation risks but it was still slightly higher against the dollar late Wednesday.

In late European trade, the euro was at 1.5621 dollars, off 1.5636 earlier but still up from 1.5609 in New York late on Tuesday. The dollar rose to 102.77 yen from 101.86 on Tuesday.—AFP
