ISLAMABAD, April 12: Ufone, a cellular company, on Saturday signed Rs4.5 billion Syndicated Term Loan Facility jointly provided by National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) and Habib Bank Limited (HBL) to help the company undertake an aggressive rollout plan.

Ufone President and CEO Abdul Aziz, NBP Chairman and President Syed Ali Raza and HBL President and CEO Zakir Mahmood signed the agreement.

According to a company announcement, the banking sector had yet again shown confidence in the country’s leading telecom company and offered support to further expand its network, both in terms of capacity and coverage, in existing and new cities.

Ufone is an Etisalat Group company with the second largest cellular operator with more than 16 million customers.
