NEW DELHI, April 16: India has alleged that Pakistan’s nine mobile phone towers erected along the border have security-related implications for it.

Minister of State for Home Affairs Radhika M. Selvi informed Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that a survey conducted at 44 locations on the Indian side of the border by the vigilance and telecom monitoring cell of the telecommunication department in February found that Pakistani mobile signals were reaching 39 locations in Indian territory.

The minister said necessary remedial steps had been taken from time to time to deal with the situation.—APP
