QUETTA, April 18: Balochis-tan Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi said on Friday that water was a crucial issue for the people of Balochistan and the government would build dams in the province.

Talking to a delegation of students of a management course, the governor said he was the constitutional head of the province and the chief minister and his cabinet would deal with administrative matters.

He expressed the hope that the provincial government would take up with federal government issues relating to development surcharge, distribution of funds and the Balochistan’s quota in federal services

Nawaz Magsi said provincial autonomy was not an issue only of Balochistan but of all provinces.

He said that the Information and Technology University, Women’s University and Lasbela University of Marine and Agriculture Sciences had promoted higher education in the province.
