20 Haitians drown off Bahamas

MIAMI, April 21: The bodies of 20 drowned Haitians were found overnight Sunday, around 25 kilometres off the coast of the Nassau in the Bahamas, the US Coast Guard said on Monday.

Three members of the group of 24 people were rescued alive while searchers were continuing to look for one more person, said coastguard spokesman Luis Diaz.—AFP
