PESHAWAR, April 22: Punjab took a clear edge against the Federal Areas (FA) on the medal table in the ongoing second National Paralympics being played at the Qayum Sports Complex on Tuesday.
Punjab took 11 gold medals, eight silver and five bronze medals while the FA grabbed eight gold medals, five silver and five bronze.
The NWFP claimed five gold medals, five silver and seven bronze medals. Sindh was trailing behind at fourth place with one gold, two silver and three bronze medals.
In the table tennis (standing), Rizwan of Punjab, Jabar of Punjab, Babar of FA and Mohammad Qasim of FA took berths into semi-finals.
In the Wheel Chair, Naveed of Punjab, Riaz Ahmad of the NWFP, Ata-ur-Rehman of the NWFP and Zahid qualified for the semi-finals.
