HYDERABAD, April 23: The DCO of Hyderabad Syed Barkat Rizvi has said that the district government has planned to provide 50 more beds in the CDF Hospital to facilitate women patients of the district.

He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of a programme of linking the CDF hospital with the International Study of Caesarean Section Surgical Techniques at the hospital here on Wednesday.

The DCO said that district government was giving top priority to health sector and it had launched various development schemes of extension and strengthening of the existing hospitals and establishment of new health centres in the district.

He said that by linking the CDF hospital with the International Study of Caesarean Section Surgical Techniques, the expertise of the hospital would be enhanced for improvement in women health.

Later, the experts of the International Study, including Ms Barbara Faril from Oxford University, Dr Shabeen Naz Masood, Regional Coordinator of the project, Medical Superintendent of CDF Syed Hassan Murad Shah, and Dr Sajida Muneer Siddiqui delivered their speeches and highlighted the implementation methodology of this study.—Bureau
