SUKKUR, April 30: Two men Shamman Khaldi and Shahzado Khaldi, shot dead by armed people over old enmity in Yusuf Khaladi village on Tuesday night, were laid to rest in Bago Sher Badsha graveyard adjacent to Pano Akil amid touching scenes.

A group of armed men had entered into the village, kidnapped and later shot them dead after covering some distance.

Police shifted their bodies to taluka hospital for post-mortem. No case was registered till the filing of this report.

However, a heavy contingent of police raided Mulari village, conducted house-to-house search and arrested four suspects, whose names could not be ascertained. The police also torched five hideouts of the criminals.

According to the area people, the double murder incident was the result of old enmity between two groups of Khaldi community, which sparked two years ago over a killing of a thief in the hands of police in an encounter for which policemen Abdul Hayee Khaldi was held responsible.
