PESHAWAR, May 8: Thirty-five absconders wanted to police in different cases have been arrested.

A city police spokesman said 12 gamblers were arrested in a raid on different dens in the Yakatoot police area and the stake amount of Rs19,000 was seized from them. The accused included Mazar Hussain, Behram, Zahir Shah, Ahmed Shan, Shahid Nawab, Din Mohammad and Dilawar.

He said four Kalashnikovs, three shotguns, nine pistols and nine kilograms of hashish were also seized from them.
