KARACHI, May 12: Five ships carrying RBD palm oil, crude oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where nine ships notably among them being Sea Globe, Far Singapore, Golden Arrow, Cosco Karachi, and Hyun Jin Ks-3 were accommodated berths.

Sailing was also active as over a dozen vessels including Hyundai Advance, Oel Shreyas, Conti Harmony, St. Irene, Oriental Rose,Wales-2, Leopard and Pequod departed on Monday, while Daraya Raag, Cosco Karachi, King Qiang and Jalkur-2 are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 159,000 tons comprising 88,776 tons of export cargo including 14,736 tons of cement and 25,000 tons of clinker and 70,578 tons of import tonnage was handled during the last two days.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Bunga Melati Satu with 11,000 tons of palm oil, Lalazar with crude oil, APL Pusan, Itha Bhum and Harmony with containers.
