NAWABSHAH: Man, woman axed to death

NAWABSHAH, May 12: A man and woman were killed on the pretext of karo-kari near Qazi Ahmed on Monday.

Ms Bano 35 and her cousin Hussain Zardari 45, were axed to death by Samano Zardari in village Sawan Zardari.

Later, the accused surrendered to Qazi Ahmed police and confessed the crime stating that the deceased had illicit relations with his sister. Mohib Ali, uncle of deceased Hussain, registered an FIR against four persons namely Nimano, Murad Nandho and Samano Zardari.

RAIL TRAFFIC: Railway traffic on main up railway track was suspended after a piece of railway track was reported broken near Buchheri railway station on Monday.

According to sources, a piece of track was found broken at 518-2-10 km between Daur and Buchheri railway station on up track. Railway traffic remained suspended on up track and 33-up Super Express was stopped at Nawabshah railway station. The engineering staff of Nawabshah railway station rushed to the spot.

An official of Nawabshah railway station said that the track piece was broken due to intensity of heat and it was very common during summer season. He said the matter was timely reported to the station due to which the trains were stopped and track was closed for repairs.
