KARACHI, May 14: Two ships carrying containers and iron ore were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile four more ships to load/offload containers, cement, diesel oil and palm oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Seven ships, Grasmere Maersk, Tia, Bernice, Raissa Ayu, Nord Voyager, Merbabu and Kaghan, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, palm oil, coal, crude oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 67,029 tons comprising 48,151 tons of import and 18,878 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Barcelona Bright, Merbabu, Raissa Ayu, Tia and Grasmere Maersk sailed out.
