LAHORE, May 14: Apropos a news item headlined “180 post offices left deserted in protest” published in Dawn’s Wednesday edition, an official has clarified that Bilal Dasti and Wali Muhammad harassed Ghulam Yasin, the postmaster of Misaali Public School Post Office and not Javed Ahmad as reported. He said total number of post offices in Muzaffargarh Division is 52, all of which remained opened except General Post Office and City Post Office, where officials observed a pen-down strike from 10am to 10:30am. The GPO remained fully operative after 10:30am and over 350 transactions took place.
