A report on a press conference by Begum Bilqees Akram, head of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Bahawalpur, (Dawn, May 19, 2008), inadvertently carried the headline ‘BISE chief admits matric papers leak’. In actuality, the board chairperson had only confirmed irregularities in maintaining the secrecy of the question papers in the annual matriculation examinations, 2008. The error is regretted. — Editor
