Aisam-Rohan pair crashes out

PARIS: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and his doubles partner India’s Rohan Bopanna crashed to a 6-1, 6-4 defeat against Mike and Bob Bryan of the United States in the opening round of the French Open on Thursday.

The unseeded duo went down against the Bryan brothers in just 53 minutes with the latter winning the first game in only 24 minutes.

The winners were dominant in winning points on the first serve and converted four of the nine break points.—PPI
