PML-Q vows to Defend Musharraf

LAHORE, June 1: Pakistan Muslim League-Q will block all attempts to destabilise President Pervez Musharraf.

PML-Q leader Nisar A Memon, flanked by Chaudhry Zaheeruddin and others, said this at a press conference at Muslim League House here on Sunday.

Defending Gen Musharraf (retired), Memon said the president had fulfilled all his promises, including doffing army uniform, holding general elections and strengthening democracy. He said President Musharraf would keep on playing his constitutional role.

He said the constitutional package would be considered after its presentation in the parliament. Talking about increase in prices of essential items, he said wheat flour price had jumped to Rs28 from Rs16 per Kg within a few months.— APP
