DADU: Two bandits arrested

DADU, June 3: Police arrested bandits after an encounter near Mehar on Monday.

According to police, a gang of car and motorcycle snatchers operating in Larkana and Dadu, led by Mazhar Hussain Jhatiyal blocked Pateji-Kandiwar Link Road in Taluka Mehar and were trying to deprive passengers.

In the meantime, Thariri Mohbat police reached there and asked the dacoits to surrender which they declined. They opened fire which police retaliated and after an encounter of about half an hour police succeeded in arresting Jhatiyal and his accomplice Juman, while Maqsood Ahmed escaped.—BoC
