KHAIRPUR, June 4: The district government was facing lots of problems because of the vindictive behaviour of the present setup, said District Nazim Pir Niaz Hussain Shah Jilani.

He was speaking at a reception at the Khairpur Press Club on Wednesday.

“Though I am district nazim but is implicated in a false case of cannabis/hemp while mukhtiarkar Nara taluka was pressurized to show that I own revenue land in Nara taluka,” he said.

The mukhtiarkar despite the pressure denied that neither I, nor my brothers own land in Nara taluka, he said adding: “The government in spite of the statement booked me and 6,000 PML-F workers and office-bearers in fake cases during the last three months.”

The PML-F workers were tortured like criminals at police stations, he said.

The champions of democracy had crossed the limits of political victimization, he said, adding those terming previous government undemocratic were all out to crush their opponents.
