KARACHI, June 5: Nine ships carrying containers and to load cement an ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side where six ships were berthed on Thursday. They are Pacific Arrow to load cement, APL Jeddah, MOL Ability, Csav Teno, with containers, Winco Lilvia, to unload and load general cargo and Lalazar to offload crude oil.

Wan Hai-311, Itha Bhum and Blida departed on Thursday, while APL Jeddah, Winco Silvia, Harmony, Lalazar, Pacific Arrow, MOL Ability and Kota Puri are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 90,095 tons comprising 34,076 tons of export cargo and 56,019 tons of imported goods was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Superior Pcscadores, to load 16,000 tons of cement, Kcoyoung Prince, to load ethanol, Al-Salam-2, with high-speed diesel, Eric G. Gibson, Hanjin Chittagong, Rhoneborg, Global Prosperity, King Brian and Oel Strength, with containers.
