FAISALABAD, June 5: Different trade organisations on Thursday announced joining lawyers long march and threatened to pull their shutters down if the deposed judges were not restored.

This was decided in a meeting of traders presided over by Anjuman-i-Tajran (AT) city president Shahid Razzaq Sakka.

Representatives of yarn merchants association and printing association -- Mehmood Alam Jutt, Mohammad Ashraf, Mohammad Nawaz Vohra, Pervez Khalid, Tassaduq Rasool, Naseer Ahmed – and others said traders would launch a country-wide drive against the government and observe shutterdown strikes if judges were not reinstated in the wake of the long march.

They said the shutterdown would continue till the restoration of all judges, including deposed chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

They said a fleet of Faisalabad traders and businessmen comprising 200 vehicles would reach Gujranwala and join lawyers for long march towards Islamabad.

Criticising politicians, they said political figures had completely failed to reinstate the judges as President House was a main hurdle to the effect.

Trader leaders said masses pinned hopes on the new government to resolve multiple crises gripping the country.
