KARACHI, June 20: Five ships carrying containers, phosphate and to load clinker are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly brisk where six ships, Kapitan Byankin, APL Pusan to unload and load containers, Lucky Arrow, to load cement, Medi Cork to offload coal, Lalazar to unload crude oil and Skychemi to load ethanol were berthed after the departure of five.

The departing ships were led by Robin, Kety-2, Oel Peace, Blida and Sinar Bintan, while Lalazar, Lucky Man, Lucky Arrow and Orient Stride are due to sail out on Saturday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 34,817 tons comprising 34,817 tons of export and 63,795 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Cap Akritas, Hansa Liberty and Rhoneborg with containers, Jaikur-11 with rock phosphate and Noor-i-Medina to load 16,800 tons of clinker.
