RAWALPINDI, July 5: A man was awarded six months imprisonment and fine worth Rs3,000 for misbehaving and hurling threats to a civil judge and creating mess in the court room here on Saturday.

Judge Raja Khurram Ali delivered the sentence to Tahir Aziz who misbehaved with the judge when he along with others was stopped from entering the judge’s chamber where his brother Tariq Aziz was allowed to meet his daughter.

According to a lawyer present in the court, when the judge directed Tariq to meet his five-year-old daughter Laiba in his chamber, the accused along with another man and two women tried to enter the chamber but were stopped by the court staff. On this, he got infuriated and even obstructed the court proceedings, the lawyer said.
