ISLAMABAD, July 11: The European Parliament will shortly initiate discussion on unmarked mass graves in the Occupied Kashmir as 126 members have moved a joint resolution in the EU parliament seeking discussion on the subject.
This was disclosed by former AJK Prime Minister and President Jammu and Kashmir People’s Muslim League (JK PML) Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry while talking to a group of reporters here.
He said it was a positive development as it was for the first time the European Union had taken notice of the human rights abuses in Held Kashmir.
He said this was no more a secret that India had murdered hundreds of innocent Kashmiri civilians and buried them in unmarked mass graves. He said a number of victims of enforced disappearance in Occupied Kashmir may also have been killed by the Indian occupation troops.
Sultan said the four-point formula to resolve Kashmir dispute floated by General Musharraf was nothing but a conspiracy for division of Kashmir. He alleged that unilateral concessions were given to India on the dictates of external powers.
He said India kept on using the composite dialogue as a ploy to buy time. “India was neither serious nor sincere in talks,” he remarked.
He said India had once again stepped up state terrorism in Occupied Kashmir and the recent violation of the Line of Control at Hajira sector had made it abundantly clear that it was not serious in finding out a peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue.
He said the intensified human rights violations in Held Kashmir require complete unity in the rank and file of the APHC to raise the issue on international level in an aggressive manner.
Sultan said the resistance movement in Occupied Kashmir was gaining momentum with the increase in Indian atrocities.
