Saleh qualifies for last 16

KARACHI, July 11: Saleh Mohammad, a former runner-up of the World Amateur Snooker Championship, eased into the pre quarter-finals of the 6-Red Snooker International in Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday.

Continuing from where he had left on Thursday, Saleh continued his winning run intact by punishing New Zealand’s Dene O’ Kane 6-1 in the first match of knockout stage.

According to results, Saleh was home 42-13, 42-0, 8-34, 44-7, 43-23, 51-5, 41-15.

He is drawn to meet Thailand’s former celebrity Noppadon Noppachorn in the next fixture.

Earlier, he maintained a clean slate by winning all of his five first round matches.
