Muhammad Yousaf made air marshal

ISLAMABAD, July 21: The government has promoted Air Vice Marshal Muhammad Yousaf to the rank of Air Marshal, said a press release issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Air Force here Monday.

Currently, serving as Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Support) at the Air Headquarters, Air Marshal Muhammad Yousaf was commissioned in Pakistan Air Force’s Flying Branch on June 1, 1975.

A graduate of Flying Instructors’ School, Combat Commanders’ School, PAF Air War College and National Defence University, he has commanded a fighter squadron, a fighter wing, an operational airbase and a regional air command.

He has also been Chief Project Director, F-16s project, and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Admin) at the Air Headquarters, and Director-General Logistics at Joint Staff Headquarters.

Air Marshal Muhammad Yousaf also served in

Abu Dhabi Air Force on deputation.

He is recipient of Hilal-i-Imtiaz Military), Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Basalat.
