KARACHI, July 21: Former national-ranked cueist Shahid Nazir Minhas performed a double when he won both snooker and 9-ball pool final of the 9th Dreamworld Cue Sports Tournament at Club House Club on Sunday night.

Shahid, once ranked among the top ten snooker players in the country, defeated S.Hadi Ahmed 4-1 in a best of seven final frame before a sizeable audience.

Shahid dropped the second frame before chalking out 57-07, 36-41, 51-13, 68-17, 57-44 victory over Hadi to complete a double.

Earlier the lanky cueist showed his all-round capabilities by winnig the 9-ball pool final, beating Rashid Habib 4-2.

Sahar Zubair Abbasi won the ladies pool competition when she beat her elder sister Saba Abbasi 3-2.

Mazhar Zubair Abbasi won the seniors pool final with a straight 4-1 win over Noman Ahmed.—APP
